Legato Jeans by Love Notions
Hello! Okay, I am back today with a very exciting announcement… well, not really an announcement, but it is exciting! I made my very first pair of Jeans! I have been sewing clothes for over 10 years. I have made so many things over the years. I even made a wedding dress earlier this year, but for whatever reason I never thought I would be able to conquer sewing jeans. Well, when Tami with Love Notions announced that she was going to be releasing the Legato Jeans pattern, I decided to give it a go. I have made so many Love Notions patterns over the years, so I am very…

Fisterra Dress by Itch to Stitch
Well, I am back after taking a few months off from pattern testing. Life has just been busy and pattern testing takes a pretty big chunk of time, so it just haven’t made it a priority. However, when I saw the testing call for the Fisterra pattern, I knew I needed to make the time! Kennis, the designer behind Itch to Stitch, really is one of the most pattern designers I have come across. The pattern construction is always top notch and the fit is almost always spot on, even in the first version of the test. She is very talented. So with that said, I would like to introduce…

Oversized Arlington Sweater by Love Notions
Hello Everyone!! This is my first post in a long time! As the first month of 2022 is coming to an end, I decided it was about time to get going on my New Year Resolutions 🙂 I have missed my blog and I have missed documenting my latest makes. So, I know it will not be perfect, but I am excited to get this going again!! So, without further ado, let me tell you about my latest make… the Oversized Arlington Sweater by Love Notions. I received this gorgeous Slub Rib Knit fabric from Mily Mae Fabrics and I knew that I wanted to make something that would showcase…

2021 Suit Up for Summer with Raspberry Creek Fabrics
What an amazing week it has been! I have been incredibly inspired by all of the talented sewists that contributed to the blog tour. Raspberry Creek Fabrics has so many amazing swim prints this year in summer collection, and I want to make them all! But before I start making all the plans and buying all of the fabric, let’s talk about the suits I already did sew up 🙂 For the first time ever I made 4 coordinating swimsuits for my 4 youngest kids!! I am sure they will never all 4 wear them at the same time again, so I had to be sure to grab several group…

Pixie Tee by Chalk and Notch
This is going to be short and sweet, but I really want to share my latest make with everyone, because I feel like a real-loved t-shirt deserves a little shout-out 🙂 The Pixie Tee from Chalk and Notch is a wardrobe stable for me. I love the relaxed, boxy fit. It is perfect for my everyday life as a stay-at-home mom. I am one who has to “get ready” for the day, even if I am not going anywhere, it just makes me feel better and motivates me to accomplish more during the day. However, even though I want to put on make-up and do my hair, I usually opt…

Luci Mae by Lil Luxe Collection
Hello! I am Back!! My kids are finally back in school! Today was the first day of full-time, in-person school! They are beyond excited to be back and I am beyond excited to get back to a normal schedule! So, given that the last 6-7 months have been crazy, I have been terrible about sharing all of my makes. I made these Luci Mae Jumpers during testing awhile back. I did test this pattern, so the pants version was Version 1 during testing and the dress version was the Final Version of the pattern. There were slight changes to the pattern during testing, but I love how both of them…

Summer is just around the corner, and with all of this indoor time we have had lately, I can definitely say I am ready to hit the pool! I think Raspberry Creek Fabrics’ “Suit up for Summer” blog tour is coming at the perfect time! Many of us are dreaming of fun pool parties or days at the beach where we can enjoy warm weather and maybe even get to hang out with a few friends 😉 The Raspberry Creek Fabrics has an amazing swim suit fabric line-up this year! I had such a hard time deciding on the fabrics I wanted to use, since I loved them all, but…

Castillo Cardigan by Itch to Stitch
This year I have been all about sewing layering pieces. This is one area of my wardrobe that has been lacking quite a bit, even though I wear them all the time. As we begin to transition into summer, I appreciate an easy layering piece even more. The Castillo Cardigan by Itch to Stitch is exactly what I needed. The Castillo Cardigan has a raglan sleeve with shoulder darts to give a great fit! I love the casual feel of the open cardigan, with the side slits and the hood. Oh, and lets not forget about the pockets!! The best cardigans have pockets! I would say this is a great…

Sabalito Top by Itch to Stitch
I am absolutely loving the wrap top trend that I have been seeing lately. If you do not believe me, just check out my “Inspire my Wardrobe” board on Pinterest 🙂 When Kennis with Itch to Stitch released the testing call for her newest pattern, I knew I had to have it! I mean look at it!! The Sabalito Top is relaxed top with dolman sleeves. It is super comfortable and easy to put together. But, in true Itch to Stitch form, there is a unique twist to the pattern, with the overlapping front panels that create the ties. As for my version, I sewed up a size 0, B…

Atenas Jacket by Itch to Stitch
Hello Everyone! I have been meaning to share the details on my latest make for some time now, but life just kept getting in the way. But I am here now 🙂 Anyway, I am here to share the details on the Atenas Jacket by Itch to Stitch. I have made a lot of things over the years and I honestly think that I am the proudest of this jacket. I absolutely love it! I have been wanting a good, casual jacket for some time now and I haven’t been able to find one in the stores that fit well and that wasn’t super expensive. When Kennis with Itch to…
