Beginners: Learn to Sew

Tuesdays: August 4 – September 15
12:15–2:00 pm

This course is designed for kids ages 7 and older with little or no previous sewing experience.

Please only enroll your child if they can comfortably and accurately use large scissors and are able to stay focused throughout class.

We will begin by learning the basics of hand sewing before moving on to machine sewing. Students will learn the parts of the sewing machine, practice stitching on sewing exercises, and then begin creating projects.

Projects include:

• Felt key chain
• Embroidery hoop project
• Bookmark
• Pillowcase
• String backpack

The cost of the class is $220.

Beyond Basics: Mushroom and Friends

Mondays: August 3 – September 14 (No class on Labor Day)

This class is a fun twist on the original Mushroom and Friends class! Most of the kids who have sewn with me before have seen the adorable mushroom gnome in my sewing room—now they get to make one of their own!

Throughout this 6-week class, students will create a whimsical mushroom gnome, a mushroom house cinch pouch, and a cute little stuffed frog. This class is perfect for students who have completed a beginner sewing class and are ready for their next adventure.

The cost of the 6-week class is $160.

Beyond Basics: T-Shirt Dress (Ages 10+)

Thuesdays: August 4 – August 18
10:30 am–12:00 pm
$80

This 3-week class is designed for students ages 10 and older.

Students will sew a casual, relaxed-fit t-shirt dress using soft jersey knit fabric while learning techniques for sewing with knit fabrics.

The cost of the class is $80.

Beyond Basics: Bow Edit

Wednesdays: August 5 – September 16
12:30–2:00 pm

This brand-new 7-week class was inspired 100% by my daughters! If you have a child who’s completely bow obsessed, this class is for them.

Students will sew boxer-style shorts with adorable bow ties along the sides, a bow-shaped pillow, and a feminine book pouch finished with a sweet bow accent.

The cost of the 7-week class is $185.

Beyond Basics: Carry and Charm

Wednesdays: August 5 – September 16

I have been seeing these adorable bandana tote bags everywhere, and I think they’ll make such a fun sewing project!

Students will quilt and sew their own fully lined tote bag, then personalize it with fun patches. During the final class (or two), we’ll create unique bag charms using beads, fabric, ribbons, and other fun embellishments so every bag is one of a kind.

The cost of the 7-week class is $185.
