Itch to Stitch,  Testing

Sabalito Top by Itch to Stitch

I am absolutely loving the wrap top trend that I have been seeing lately. If you do not believe me, just check out my “Inspire my Wardrobe” board on Pinterest 🙂

When Kennis with Itch to Stitch released the testing call for her newest pattern, I knew I had to have it! I mean look at it!!

The Sabalito Top is relaxed top with dolman sleeves. It is super comfortable and easy to put together. But, in true Itch to Stitch form, there is a unique twist to the pattern, with the overlapping front panels that create the ties.

As for my version, I sewed up a size 0, B cup; however, I graded out to a size 4 just below the waist (as per my measurements). In addition, I removed 1″ of length at the included shorten/lengthen line, since I am 5’2″ and most of my shortness comes from my top half 😉

As for fabric, I used a gorgeous double gauze from fabric.com. The coloring is a little hard to see in the pictures, but it is a solid light mint color. I love the organic look that the double gauze gives this top. Plus, it is light-weight and airy, making it perfect for spring.

Let me know if you decide to dive in and try the Sabalito top too! I would love to see it 🙂
