Hand Sewing: No Experience required. Ages 6 and older

The classic Holiday Felt Banner, just in time to decorate for St. Patrick’s Day! This is a hand sewing class for kids 6 and older. No previous experience required. I will have all of the pieces precut, so the kids can get started sewing right away. The cost for the class is $30.

Spring time in Arizona is my favorite, so I feel like it should be celebrated with a pretty banner 😊 This is a hand sewing class for kids 6 and older. No previous experience required. I will have all of the pieces precut, so the kids can get started sewing right away. The cost for the class is $30.

Beginners: Learn to Sew! (ages 7 and older)

This course is designed for kids 7 and older who do not have previous sewing experience. *The minimum age is 7 years old, but please only sign up your child if they can comfortably use large scissors and is able to remain focused on a project for 2.5 hours at a time.
We will start out by learning the basics of hand sewing and then we will move into machine sewing. The kids will learn the parts of the machine and work on practice sheets before diving into machine sewing. We will complete both hand sewing projects, as well as projects made with a sewing machine. Projects include a felt key chain, an embroidery hoop, bookmark, pillowcase, and a string backpack the cost is $215.

Beyond Basics: St Patrick’s Day Gnomes

I think Gnomes and St. Patricks’ Day go hand-in-hand! We will make 2 little leprechaun gnomes- one boy gnome and one girl gnome. They are sure to be adorable! The cost for this class is $45.
Beyond Basics: Spring Skirt
Monday: March 9th

The simple skirt was one of the first things my daughter sewed when I first started teaching – it continues to be one of my favorite projects 😊 This is a simple elastic skirt that the girls will learn to make based on their own measurements. The cost of the class is $45.
Beyond Basics: Stuffed Egg Bunny
Thursday: March 12th

Don’t let the lame name fool you – this is a very cute project! It is a little stuffed bunny with an Easter Egg twist. The kids will be able to personalize it by embroidering a face and mixing fabrics of their choice to create the body. The cost of the class is $35.
Beyond Basics: American Girl Doll
Dress for Success 😊
Mon – Wed: March 16th – 18th

We love making doll clothes and with Spring around the corner there is no better time than now to make a few new outfits. We will make a cute spring dress, a shirt/skirt outfit and finish the class with a fun pair of handmade doll shoes. The cost of the class is $105.
Beyond Basics: Scrappy Easter Egg Pillow
Monday: March 16th

We love decorative holiday pillows! With this project the kids will quilt strips of fabric together to make an Easter Egg inspired pillow. The cost of the class is $35.
Beyond Basics: Easter Gnomes
Wednesday: March 18th
9 am – 12 pm
These little Bunny Gnomes are seriously the cutest! The little ears are my favorite! We will make a boy and girl, and they are adorable! The cost for this class is $52
Private Lessons:
The cost for a private lesson is $40/hour. If you had a friend/sibling that wanted to join the private lesson then it is an addition $6 per person per hour. For most projects, I will ask you to provide your own fabric or pay a supplies fees. This can be discussed case by case.

I was hoping to have two teens do your beg class if you have space. Is that 3 days or 1 day any of those three days?
We have a two week break and would love to have them do a class. They are both very creative and want to learn to sew.

Hello! I am in SE Gilbert, AZ. I will have some classes in July. The summer schedule will be ready for registration next week. As for price, it depends on the class. The 10 hour beginners class is currently $160, and that does include all supplies. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks! Jen
