Hand Sewing – No Experience Required

Hand Sewing – Mums and Babes Little Stuffies (ages 6+ – no experience required)

Wednesdays, January 15^th & 22^nd

This is a cute little project for the kids to hand sew a little mama and baby stuffy.  They can choose from a dog, cat, bunny, or bear.  The cost for the course is $52.

Hand Sewing – “LOVE” Banner (ages 6+ – no experience required)

Monday, January 20^th

9:30 – 11 am

I love decorating for Valentine’s Day!  In this class the kids the kids will make a pendant banner to celebrate Valentine’s Day.  I will have all the letters pre-cut, so they can just come in and sew!  The cost of the class is $30

Beginners – Learn to Sew

This course is designed for kids 7 and older who do not have previous sewing experience.  *The minimum age is 7 years old, but please only sign up your child if they can comfortably and accurately use large scissors and is able to remain focused on a project for 1.5 hours at a time. 

We will start out by learning the basics of hand sewing and then we will move into machine sewing.  The kids will learn the parts of the machine and work on practice sheets before diving into machine sewing.  We will complete both hand sewing projects, as well as projects made with a sewing machine.  Projects include a felt key chain, an embroidery hoop, bookmark, pillowcase, and a string backpack the cost is $205.

Beyond Basics – Spa Collection

Who doesn’t love a little self-care 😊  The Spa Collection class is always fun!  This is an 8 week class.  The kids will make a flannel robe, a pair of pajama pants (they can choose between satin fabric or flannel) and then we will spend the remaining class time making Spa Accessories (as time allows).  The cost of the class is $205.

Beyond Basics – Sew Croquette

Tuesdays, January 7^th – February 25^th

10 am – 11:30 am

This is a new 8 week class, inspired 100% by my daughters.  So, if there are any other “Bow Obsessed” kids out there, then this class is for them!!  We will applique a ready-to-wear sweatshirt, make a bow pillow, a cute bow accented tote bag and of course make a few hair bows. The cost of the class is $210.

Beyond Basics – Quilted Heart Pillow (ages 9 and older)

Friday, January 17^th & 24^th

4 – 6 pm

A few of us have caught the “quilting bug” and we are addicted 😊  This pillow will be a fun Valentine pillow – or anytime pillow (because hearts never go out of style).  The cost of this class is $70. 

Beyond Basics – For the Love Sweatshirt

Saturday, January 18^th & 25^th

9:30 – 11:30 am

If you have been around for a while, you know that I love appliqueing shirts… we have been doing it for years.  Well, it seems the world has finally caught up and appliqued tees and sweatshirts are very on trend right now.  For this sweatshirt class, I will teach the kids how to take apart the sleeves to add little hearts or stars and then reconstruct it back together.  As time allows they can continue to add their own touch to the shirt, maybe change the band or cuffs.  I will need to order the size/color of the sweatshirt in advance.  The cost of this class is $78 (or $68 if you provide your own sweatshirt).

Beyond Basics – Cuddle Friends

I love making these cute little friends for Valentine’s Day!  This is a 3 part class were we will make a cute cuddly friend that has extra long arms, perfect for cuddling.  We will pair the cute stuffy with a fun little, squeezable heart.  The cost of this class is $75. 

Beyond Basics – Cozy Socks and Cocoa Bombs

Saturday, January 11^th

9:30 – 11:30 am

If you have seen me teach in the winter, then you have already seen the Fuzzy Socks 😊  I wear these all of the time!  They are cozy fleece socks that are great to wear around the house.  In addition to making cute socks, they will also get to make their own Hot Chocolate Bombs to take home.  We have done this class for a few years now and it is always a great time!  The cost of the class is $38.
