Beginners: Learn to Sew

This course is designed for kids 7 and older who do not have previous sewing experience. *The minimum age is 7 years old, but please only sign up your child if they can comfortably and accurately use large scissors and is able to remain focused on a class for 3 hours. I will offer this class as an 8 week class beginning in July, which may be a better option for the younger kids with shorter attention spans.
We will start out by learning the basics of hand sewing and then we will move into machine sewing. The kids will learn the parts of the machine and work on practice sheets before diving into machine sewing. We will complete both hand sewing projects, as well as projects made with a sewing machine. Projects include a felt key chain, an embroidery hoop, bookmark, pillowcase, and a string backpack the cost is $205.

It’s Summer Time!! In this class we will be sewing a few Lake (or Pool) day essentials. We will sew a pair of loose woven shorts, a wet bag with a zipper, and an appliqued beach towel. The cost for this class is $140.
Beyond Basics: Road Trip

Summer is for Vacations 😊 This is a fan-favorite class that I have not done for a while. We will make a “Cozy” Blanket (double sided-jersey blanket), a minky travel pillow, an Arizona Map zipper pouch and a cosmetic travel pouch. The cost of the class is $140.
4th of July Fit
June 30th and July 1st
1 – 3:30 pm

This is a 2-day class. It is no secret that I love the 4th of July. I love being decked out in my Red, White, and Blue for the holiday! We will make a pair of knit shorts and screenprint or applique an already made t-shirt. The cost of the class is $85.
Private Lessons:
In addition to my summer camps, I will also offer a few Private Lessons. The cost for a private lesson is $40/hour. If you had a friend/sibling that wanted to join the private lesson then it is an addition $6 per person per hour. For most projects, I will ask you to provide your own fabric or pay a supplies fees. This can be discussed case by case.

I was hoping to have two teens do your beg class if you have space. Is that 3 days or 1 day any of those three days?
We have a two week break and would love to have them do a class. They are both very creative and want to learn to sew.

Hello! I am in SE Gilbert, AZ. I will have some classes in July. The summer schedule will be ready for registration next week. As for price, it depends on the class.
